In collaboration with the Central School of Ballet, we presented Performing Hope for Nature & Climate in the City during London Climate Action Week.

Set against the backdrop of the River Thames on Bermondsey Beach on a swelteringly hot day, the event marked the second chapter of our Performing Hope campaign – following our debut in Davos 2024 with Performing Hope for the Glaciers.

London’s natural and urban landscapes face increasing climate threats. Performing Hope responds to climate anxiety through art – reminding us that hope is an active choice. This performance, "I think we’re on different planets" by choreographer Daniel Davidson, with music by Elliott Park and vocals by Fabiana Palladino, was a powerful expression of optimism and resilience through movement.

With 20 dancers embodying the spirit of the Thames, the piece served as a moving tribute to the fragility and beauty of the natural world – and the strength we find in collective action.
